I really enjoyed this book, it was something a little bit different. I was drawn to the book as I enjoyed 'one split second' and this didn't disappoint. I like the way the story is written from the perspective of all the different characters so you get a reply good look at the complicated family from a lot of different points of view. It was really interesting to see how the siblings each reacted to the task of dividing up their father's estate. Often their rivalry seemed quite petty but it becomes more clear why each of them acts the way they do throughout the book as we get a good look at their childhood and their adult lives. There were a few very interesting twists and turns and some very sad parts. The description of the house and the surrounding beaches of Scarborough really set the scene for the book and I enjoyed that aspect. I would definitely look out for more by the same author.
