After he died Johnathan Coulter left a surprise for his three children in his will. It was a simple request that they decide between themselves how to split his estate between them but dealing fairly with his second wife. If they cannot agree then they lose everything. The siblings are required not to have his funeral until this is all settled. This turns out not to be as simple as expected especially when their mother decides to come and give them moral support......

This is a really well written book and the simple premise is unexpectedly gripping. The well drawn characters made me dislike them, get annoyed with them and sympathise with and for them changing as I read more of the book. I enjoyed this novel far more than I thought I would and can recommend it to all readers of this genre.

I was given this book in return for an honest review.
