The Liar's Girl flips between the present and 10 years before throughout the book.
The main protagonist, Alison, currently lives in the Netherlands. She fled there 10 years ago after her boyfriend, Will, was arrested for the murder of amongst others, Alison's best friend, Liz.
Now another girl has been murdered in the same way and found in the same place. Will tells the Garda that he has information, but will only tell Alison.
Now Alison is being dragged back into the nightmare of 10 years previously. Alongside the Garda, they try to piece together what is going on and if Will is innocent. In between this, we see that things weren't rosy between Alison and Liz, in fact we see that Liz wasn't a very nice person sometimes.......
