A gorgeous cover with Christmassy hints wraps this treat of a historical romance.

Kitty has a poor start in life when she is abandoned as a baby. It is her good fortune to be brought up by the loving couple who take her in, together with other orphans in a large Warwickshire home before the Great War. Her dramatic start in life gives promise of fame and adventure for this beautiful girl.

Although Kitty's roller-coaster adventures drive the story, her guardians Sunday and Tom are the real focus as they cope with many setbacks whilst always providing a stable and caring home for others. This is the second in a 'Days of the Week' story arc planned by Rosie Goodwin. I hadn't read the first story and so lacked some of the back story but the writer did a sterling job of providing just enough clues that I could enjoy Little Angel as a standalone whilst being persuaded I really should read Mothering Sunday to fill those gaps.
