I think the reason I enjoyed this book so much is the diary style entries in the way the chapters feature. I enjoyed how the book portrays Fred and how his story flips back and forth from 1927 to 1941. I didnt care for Archie until the end when he shows his true colours. I won’t say in case of spoilers! Chrissie I enjoyed reading about and her love for St kilda and I’m glad she found her happiness in the end.
