I really enjoyed this book, it is a beautifully written love story. It follows the story of 2 main characters; Chrissie and Fred. You really feel like you get to know the characters as the story progresses, you experience everything that happens to them in great detail. Each chapter is dedicated to Chrissie or Fred and the year of occurrence is given. Chrissie and Fred get parted and you read of the events that happen to each of them. It is a love story that has a wonderful end to it. I would highly recommend this book to people who like romance. You can lose yourself in the lovely island of St Kilda and almost feel like you have visited it and taken a piece of it into your heart also while you read this book. I have seen that Elizabeth Gifford has written other books and I would be interested to read them too.
