Not really a book within my usual area of reading and one that I knew I was going to struggle to finish the moment that I picked it up while looking for something to boost the diversity of genres that I was reading at the time.
However, I still rate this read at 5 Stars despite my experience with it. It was good, memorable read with enjoyable characters and had a little bit of a classic mystery going on. The balance of emotions works well without sliding to the extreme side of the scale meaning that the reader doesn't feel bored or become too accustomed to the tone of the book. The descriptions are rich and easily allow the reader to be drawn into the setting but light enough that it isn't sluggishly paced or difficult to get through, given that this is a genre that the reader already enjoys or is familiar with. Easy to fall in love with given the correct circumstances I'm sure.
