I was super excited to read this as I had seen it everywhere! Expectations were high and I was bitterly disappointed - was I reading the same book as everyone else? It felt like a chore having to read the book: it was up until the half-way mark that I finally got into it (somewhat). Walsh only wrote snippets of Eddie and Sarah's time together so Sarah's obsession was incredibly irritating and completely ludicrous. I get love at first sight but this was not substantiated by the narrative at all.
I convinced myself that I had come up with the right theory as to what was going to happen...I was VERY wrong. The major twist completely threw me and I loved it - I was hoping that the second half would pick up a lot more after this. I was also very wrong about this...there was just unnecessary twist after unnecessary twist and I just wanted the story to be over quickly. This had the potential to be a great novel but it did not deliver for me: an averagely overhyped read.
