On reading the first chapter, I was already hooked and couldn't wait to read the entire novel.
This book explored a subject I knew very little about and as it moved backwards and forwards between the 1940s and present day, the picture gradually built up and the suspense built.
I can't say too much about the plot for fear of spoiling the revelations along the way but it's a well paced novel that has you gripped and wanting to know the outcome.
I would have loved to read more about his brother, William, the serial killer. He was an interesting character and the dynamic between the two brothers an interesting one that could definitely be explored more!
I found Charlie Priest to be a hugely likeable character and think there would be so much scope for a series of books revolving around him and his band of characters at the agency! A great debut!
