A fantastic first read of James Hazel.

The story built from page one to the end in a gripping tale. With twists and turns it kept me intrigued and I could not put it down.

I will liken the writing style to that of Jeffrey Deaver and Karyn Slaughter. With his excellent construction of characters, Charlie Priest, I put them alongside the likes of Lincoln Rhymes. A well thought out and researched novel which flows effortlessly through World War 2 and present day, without skipping a beat.

He has paired the 2 eras so well that you don't lose sight at any time of what is actually going on in the story. Which I find a lot of other writers fail miserably to do. And I could name a few.

A thoroughly good read and I cannot wait For The next novel to sink into.
