Just what I was hoping it would be

I'd noticed the cover of this book in a train bookstore when browsing and added it to my 'to buy' list immediately. I was very excited to receive a copy when signing up to Readers First and hoped it wouldn't disappoint, and thankfully, it didn't. James Hazel has done a great job of breaking into a crowded market. I love crime fiction (including many of James's favourite authors too, as he notes in the book), especially anything that gets me thinking about how real it is, or could be. The storyline here isn't a common one (a well established underground group who are continuing the work of the Nazi doctors), but it's not far-fetched, and the characters are all just that little bit outside of the norm to keep you interested without losing track of them. I really enjoyed The Mayfly and look forward to reading another of James's books soon.
