I have to usually read a really well-written historical fiction story with a good storyline in order for me to comfortably read historical fiction. I read the first page and I couldn't get it to flow due to the writing style, however I kept reading and I found my rhythm with this writing style and swiftly got into it. I find the plot of a famous shipwreck intriguing and though the sample only gave us the 'past' timeline I would be interested to read on with the alternating timeline. I think the front cover is appealing and matches the tone of the novel and I believe I could give this book a go and get to the end. I'd be interested to see how this plot unfolds. Don't judge this book by it's first page so I think a good start.
