At first i was intrigued by the premise behind this one, second world war stories are always an interesting if sometimes harrowing read. This one was made slightly more appealing by knowing that they survived.
However after reading the extract, or should i say part of the extract i have changed my mind and decided that this just isn't for me. I couldn't get into the writing style that coudn't decide what it was, went from a fictional take on the escape, to then include a more journalistic interview, to then be personal opinions of the author but they didn't gel well for me and i gave up before i'd finished the brief extract.
