This is a story about women who get sent to camp and (no spoilers - I hope!) how they escape. I enjoyed how this story included a bit about the back story of the women but also about their journey towards each other. This is a story of how these women got imprisoned, how they lived there but more importantly how they got out. Many books which address this time period often stop when the person leaves the camp. What I enjoyed about this book was learning about what happened after. It is a common misconception that after the camp life got easier but this is not the case and this book highlights that well. It also sheds light on how it was a different experience for different prisoners and also for women. I think if you normally find books about this time period as fascinating as I do you you’ll very much enjoy this one! Get it on your to read list right away!
