This book was so powerful and inspiring. The courage, strength and resilience that these women showed during some of the times where humanity was at it worst is incredible.
It's heartbreaking to hear what they went through as such young women, and I learned a lot from this book. I cannot even imagine what they went through, some of them even younger than I am now.
Each of The Nine had their own strengths to keep their group alive and pushing on. They kept eachother morale high and also tended to eachother physical and medical needs.
The author collected a lot of insight and information from her own personal relations and through thorough research, I can imagine it both broke her heart and filled her with pride to hear how these women fought for their freedom and life.
I recommend this book to anyone who would like to get more insight into WW2 from a different perspective to what is normally written.
