I found this book really difficult to review, how do you decide if a true story is worthy of a five star review or not?

Whilst it is important that this story was told, I do feel like this particular topic is over saturated and I didn't come away with anything new. This isn't the first account of the nine's escape to be released, other versions came before it, from the women who went through it, so I fail to understand what was new about this version?

I also found that it was quite boring - the author did not execute the story quite as well as I hoped she would and often I would find myself having to re-read sections as a change had gone from it being the accounts of the women to the account of the author when researching.

All in all, whilst it is a true story and therefore I cannot rate that, I can rate the way that this book chose to tell this true story. I really wasn't impressed with that and often found myself glazing over.
