Brilliant - highly recommend
I really enjoyed this book and recommend it. It's always difficult to review a book like this without giving too much away, but in this case we have two central characters and their narratives throughout. We find out a great deal about their lives by alternating their reality and memories.
The story is credible and detailed, the real-time chapters feel realistic, and the memories challenging without being gory or over-sensationalised.
I enjoyed this book in several chunks. I don't think any reader will want to read a few pages here and there, once you get into the story it's not easy to leave. I didn't get lost in the detail, and felt alongside the characters in their current lives. I'm going to read the other books by this author.
