We start the off book with Jim Doyle who is a security guard in a department store. One day he notices a book called The Nothing Man by Eve Black about a serial killer and a Jim is shocked to find this book. Jim is shocked because he is The Nothing Man.
We meet Eve Black the other POV in the book who was twelve when her family was murdered by The Nothing Man. She lost her mum, dad and younger sister. Eve decides to write a book to move on and draw the killer out.
This was a excellent book.
Eve and Jim are the two POV’s.
It was differently a change getting a POV from the killer and knowing who the killer was from the start. Jim’s POV makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck.
Not only we are given Eve’s backstory but all the other victims backstories as well.
Eve gets help from a police officer Ed Healy who worked The Nothing Man case in the past. It haunted Ed as they never caught the The Nothing Man. They both team up to draw Jim out. I loved that Eve had help and support from someone to find Jim.
The was a tense page turning book as Eve gets closer and closer to catching Jim.
I would certainly recommend this book and will definitely read more of the author’s work.
