I really enjoyed this book. The main characters are Freya, a new employee at the Atypical tech company, and Isla, a journalist set on uncovering the truth about the murder of one of Freya's colleagues. Chapters alternative mainly between the perspectives of these two characters at various points in their lives before and after the murder. You quickly get sucked into the story and start to care about the characters and how they are treated. Reading "The Pact" I found myself feeling really angry at the bullying Freya receives and frustrated when characters didn't stand up for themselves, which shows how well the story is written! This story keeps you guessing. I will be on the lookout for more books by this author!
