Leah has been fired from her job as a journalist because she falsified a story. She moves in with an old friend, Emmy. A few days later Emmy is attacked and she disappears.
The book is well written and Megan Miranda tries to set the scene of the story well. However at several points, the book starts to become a frustrating read because there are too many plot twists happening. There was much potential for this book to be a great read, but the character feel a little under developed and the story could have done with a few less plot twists. Some of the plot twists were predictable which didn't help it to be an easy read.
The use of flashbacks also didn't help to move the story further, making the read very awkward at times.
Overall, this is a good book for someone wanting to start reading mystery books.
