I loved the cover - I really dislike those which are crowded with too much information, so for me this was a good one.
I liked the first part which was a flashback to 1988. It was intriguing, and made me want to read more. An intense introduction, which I liked very much.
However, when the novel is brought up to the present day I thought it was rather rushed. It tried to give too much information far too quickly. Not sure if I would buy it but, being a fan of the genre, I may be persuaded to read more.
Having said that, I am one of those annoying people : I usually like to read crime novels in chronological order. I would need to buy the first book before reading this one, and I'm not sure that it is gripping enough for me to do that.
