I didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. There is an awful lot going on, with many characters and various inter-twined stories. There are a few errors too which should have been spotted and edited: for example, a lorry accident on the M4 - near to Coventry!

Despite this, I really did enjoy the book. It was a fast-paced read with plenty of twists and turns. I quite liked the journalist Sophie Kent, despite her flaws, and enjoyed reading a crime novel from the perspective of the media for a change. Without wishing to give away the plot, my view of one or two other characters changed throughout the novel, ranging from liking them to hating them and then back to liking them again as the story unfolded.

I enjoyed the style of writing, and towards the end I couldn't put the book down. A real page turner, with a surprising twist - but the clues were there. I now look forward to reading the first book in the series, and would be happy to read more novels by Corrie Jackson.
