I came to this book from Michael Rutger having read the prequel (The Anomaly).

In this we have the same group of mystery hunters, eager to make a youtube show to boost their flagging popularity. To do this they are visiting an area of the country that has a range of mysterious walls - no-one knows how long they've been there or why they were built, but from the second the scooby-gang arrive in town we know that nothing is what it appears and everyone is lying...

I love the Anomaly and thought it had a Dan Brown/Preston & Child feel to it that appealed. The cover of this book says that fans of Steven King will love it and the tone is certainly a lot more supernatural horror than architectural adventure.

Good fun if you like a spooky thriller.
