I realise this is fiction but I just don't get the premise that a world controlled by women would necessarily be 'a genteel and peaceful society that prioritises nature, good manners and aesthetics'. Are there no men with such qualities? This seems to damn all men and assume all women are good. Rather simplistic and binary. However good the writing I think I would find the concept of this book annoying.
