This book is certainly different to anything I've read before. I must say it was an easy read although some areas of the storyline could have been disturbing had I not taken it with a pinch of salt.
It's all based around a young woman called Dana Mayer who has a vision of an all woman society that's genteel and peaceful. She achieves her goals at the expense of men's freedom.
It becomes difficult for Arthur Alden who was one of a group of friends when they were younger. All his female friends from that early life are now holding high positions in the government, Dana being at the top.
I found it interesting how everyday life favoured the women with strict rules, but also how they had freedom to live there lives in comfort. While all men were put into different groups of usage and had absolutely no control of there life or future. With all that Arthur goes through, he is never going to be free.
