Wow! Just wow! What an amazing book but a very saddening book at the same time. Right from the first page, I was hooked and unable to put the book down. I’ve read ‘The Boy In the striped pjs’ and other war themed books before and this one is well up there.
My favourite character is Rose 🌹 and I love her absolute positivity throughout the whole novel and the hope that she has that they will one day lead normal lives together.
I did know a little bit about the horrors before I started reading this book but in here there were lots of facts that I learnt. For example the fact they were forced to sew and the department stores that they had there. I would rate this five stars and recommend it to all!
