As with the previous books, I enjoyed being thrust back into the past with this.
As far as historical fiction goes, I haven’t read much crime/mystery in the genre but this series is a great one.

The plague and slavery play important parts in The Saracen’s Mark and it draws you in to the dark and hopeless place it must have really been and although it was nice to have a different setting in Morocco, I found that those parts dragged a little and I found myself looking forward to getting back to the smoggy life of London.

It’s a fairly slow paced book but that just allows you to take in the details of the story which is nice.

I still really like Nicholas and Bianca and the development of their relationship is great to read.
I feel like most loose ends where tied up nicely in this one.
