Set in 1593 Elizabethan London and Marrakech. Nicholas Shelby - physician and spy and his companion Bianca Merton are settling into a life on Bankside. Robert Cecil - the Queen's spymaster, recruits Nicholas to embark on a dangerous undercover mission that takes him to Marrakech.
I haven't read the first two books in this series so was unsure if I would be able to get into this book and understand the characters and storyline. It's also not my usual genre of book so that concerned me, but it's a really good book I enjoyed it once I got into it and it's a lovely hardback book with a lovely illustrated cover!
