I really enjoyed the opening of this book because it's set during the French Revolution but focuses on the life of a young English girl who is a spy and assassin. This means that book focuses on a lot more of the behind the scenes of the French Revolution, bridging both the lives of the commoners and wealthy, and affording a new perspective on this famous historical event. The descriptions are interesting and compelling, and the variety of characters ensures the book will be a thrilling read!
