Having previously read the first book in this series, The Bastille Spy, I was very excited to read the follow up story. From the blurb to the illustration it looked like a promising continuation of a great historical series.
After waiting for the book to arrive I was excited to get started reading. The blend of historical setting and language with the modern day feel makes it a great read that's easy to follow and means that you won't be able to put it down.
The short chapters and multiple points of view mean that you are constantly moving through the story.
I hope C.S. Quinn continues to write and this series continues as I can't wait to hear more from this brilliant author. A great novel!
