Not As I'd Hoped
When I requested this book originally I hadn't realised it was a sequel. So as excited as i was to start it, i had to go and read the first book first.
And that dampened my excitement slightly.
I liked it but it wasn't the best. And yet, this one still sounded so much better so i decided to carry on only to want to put it down a few chapters in.
I think it might be a thing more than the book but i found myself rolling my eyes ar Attica's skill and claims. The banter with Jemmy was still there, in fact it's the only thing i liked but i just didn't care. I've been in a reading slump recently and i think this book might have put me in more of one.
The premise of this series is absolutely amazing but at the moment it doesn't seem one for me. I think I'd probably enjoy it more as a film or TV show. Something where I see all the action and can be sucked in by it. Which is a shame as I was ready to adore this book.
