A gripping novel following the lives of several families who all live in a pretty Dublin square. I loved the way the book delved into the individual's lives telling their own stories all whilst being interlinked.

It starts with a terrible tragedy happening to Susan, her daughter Ella dies and she's obviously left in a terrible state which her other daughter Melissa has to deal with. The cause of her death is gradually revealed and there are a few twists and turns along the way.

The two other main characters are Jayne, a lonely widow, and Nancy a young theatre director. They are instrumental in helping both Susan and Melissa whilst having their own secrets and problems too.

I loved how this book dealt with love, truth and friendship and the message I came away with is that people can handle any situation with loved ones around them.

I can't wait to read more from Claudia Carroll.
