I really enjoyed this book. The characters engaged me from the first page. They all sounded like real live people. I found I could sympathize with each one individually, as they all had a moving story to tell. At times I felt I could laugh or cry where the story called for it. I just wanted to give the four main characters a big hug. I certainly found it difficult to put down. The main character Sam, was so well illustrated. I understood him and related to everything that happened to him. The story line was so solid. I was impressed by the way the negotiation team was portrayed. The author certainly humanised them. The end was some what of a surprise though. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends.
