I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I particularly enjoyed how the story was told through the eyes of Sam, Abi, Neil, Eliza and Mutesi. I liked getting their perspectives and learning about their back stories. There are a lot of emotions wrapped up in this book and there were definitely points which brought a tear to my eye. I didn’t imagine that I would feel empathy for some of the characters initially but gradually my opinions changed and made me reevaluate things. I haven’t read anything else by Charity Norman but I am curious about her other books based on the strength of this one. I hope this will do well, I think it will appeal to a wide demographic of readers. Very well structured and plotted out.
