Brilliant book with a brilliant storyline.
This is a book set in a small neighbour cafe. Sam finds out his mom has died from cancer and wants answers as to why he wasn’t told. When Sam enters the cafe his stepdad owns things take a dramatic turn. Sam takes everyone in he cafe as hostages, one of the customers starts to have a heart attack and Sam allows him, his neighbour, her daughter and another mother and son free. Leaving Neil, Abi and Mutesi to try and change Sams mind by trying to get him to set himself and them free. All of them have different stories and come from different backgrounds. They get to know one another and become sort of friends until things take a dramatic turn.
