This is a tense story set in a cafe and a handful of characters captive in a cafe after a young male shoots the cafe owner. The story line is full of up's and down's and you really get to know all of the characters, their previous lives and the hurdles they have had to encounter. You get to know all sides of the gun man, swaying between disliking him, to feeling sorry for him at the end. How will the story end? You just don't know, and there are many twists and turns along the way. Right up until the end of the story, literally the last chapter, there is an air of suspension with the story line, and it all changes, as do the differing relationships between those involved in this cafe incident.
The writing style is very easy to follow and a real page turner, I was hooked and spent the whole weekend finishing it, pausing briefly to eat! Plenty of ups and downs along the way and plenty of surprises. I loved it!
