I haven't been able to pick up a book for fun in 2 months (covid depression) but I remember reading the first look and being instantly sucked in and so as soon as this arrived, I read it in one night.
I can count on one hand the number of books that have held me from start to finish. The Secrets of Strangers was intense and an absolutely emotional journey. I loved how everyone had an opportunity to share their story. I was surprised how many times my heart could break or a lump in my throat could develop in only 337 pages.
The writing was literally breathtaking. I was moved, I was on the verge of tears and in the end I just wanted to give this book a hug. We went on a journey together with these strangers. An absolutely fantastic read. I will seek more from this author.
