This is a very enjoyable and well written novel based around a hostage situation in a London cafe. A gunman kills the proprietor then holds customers hostage. After letting go a sick man and those with small children we are left with three very different hostages. We hear the stories of the gunman and each of the hostages told by themselves gradually explaining the plot lines and how they ended up in this situation and some of their problems at home.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a nicely told thriller as it has some unexpected twists as the plot progresses.
I look forward to reading more of Charity Norman’s work as I am sure she will be an author we will hear much more from in the future.
