Like a true crime reader,I pretty enjoyed reading this book. Written as chapters out of a diary, this book is a snippet of time, 3 years to be exact, of John's time as a member of the firm. John describes how him and his mate Ian came to London looking for a fresh start. A chance encounter with the Krays uncle Billy leads them down a dark path of crime and murder. Although neither John or Ian actually committed any murders, they were accessories.I Iove books in diary form. I loved that everyhing happend in London and Edinburgh,which I don't get much to read about crime in these cities. I loved the perspective grom a main characters. And enjoyed reading about real violent acts, language and story.
