Having read The Angel's Mark some time ago I was delighted to find that the author S W Perry had brought out another outstanding story ......another historical fiction that will keep the reader wanting more.
S W Perry is fast becoming one of my favourite authors as he keeps me glued to the pages as I am not able to put the book down without difficulty.
This story is set in London in 1591 and brings this era to life as you progress into the tale. It tells the tale of Nicholas Shelby, physician and spy who frequents London's Bankside together with fellow healer Bianca Merton the mistress of the Jackdaw Tavern.
They come into contact with zealots ,charlatans and fanatics who inhabit a sinister world of danger.
A very well written book which deserves much praise for the enjoyment it gives the reader.
