This book was so gripping i read it in two sittings. The way the author wrote the book swapping between the 2 main characters stories kept the book flowing really nicely and then the 2 stories were slowly merged into one. I think that the portrayal of how it must feel to loose a child was shown very well in this book and didnt just go on about the tears and upset but showed the drastic measures that a father would go to to find his daughter. Linas father drives all night during the summer months to look for his daughter and then an unlikely friendship forms between him and Meja, a new girl who has just moved to the town who is the same age as Lelle's daughter was when she went missing. He cared for her like the daughter he lost and in the end, it was the two of the, together who worked out what had actually happened to Lina and saved the lives of another girl and probably more to come after that too.
