First off, the cover of the book is eye-catching, literally. There is something that eye contact can do to a person mentally, and eye contact is even mentioned in the first chapter. The tone is perfect for the novel, and the writing style makes it seem that I am inside Erma's mind living the experiences in real time. From what I have read, this novel is shaping up to be a gripping journey.
