The book cover is so good and really captures the creepyness that you experience as the book progresses.
The book itself is the type of book that would be better as a film rather than a book. It's like a murder mystery mixed with an adventure book. I did end up skipping some adventure pages as it was rather boring if I'm quite honest. The book started to quickly and then slowed way down and then ended quickly too. The attempted murder/suicide happened so soon and I personally would have preferred to have more of an insight on the characters first but I suppose it did help me feel the confusion of the character erma.
The ending was shocking and amazing and awful at the same time, the way she was kidnapped, poisoned and then helped by another girl who was trapped and then she broke out and killed everyone with a sword like she was in the adventure part of the book. However, when she got in the car at the end and they said they were going to pay others a little visit I just thought that was a little daft something that you would expect at the end of a film that is going to do a spinoff. The book would have worked better as two separate books but all in all I liked it but it probably wouldn't be a book I recommend to a friend.
