I have read a few thrillers and the cover of the book looked amazing, it was dark and suspenseful which is something that would be expected to see. However from the first read of the preview of the book I wasn’t as hooked as I thought I would be based on the cover. From that first sentence/page even I thought the book would adapt more and get better with it being more suspenseful and all but that wasn’t the case.
I understand the short use of sentences to create the suspense but, I would of loved the writer to describe the scene and characters more. I had a lot of trouble trying to connect with the characters and the scene without getting bored.
I definitely judged a book by a cover this time as I hoped it would be a bit different from other thriller books I have read within the past. Overall, this is not a book that I would like to continue to read and that really disappointed me.
