This has to be the strangest book I have ever read. From synopsis I thought this is going to a real thriller and so it started out Then came The barbarian and I thought what is all this. It became a real hybrid book part story about Erma and her quest to find out what her would be killer had been up to prior to her murder attempt and suicide. Another separate story based on a game player Dungeons and Dragons style quest.
Felt there should have been more warning that this was not your standard thriller and was more suited to a game players.
I am sure it would have interest to a specialist audience but definitely not to me.
I felt the Barbarian storyline spoiled what could have been a good book. That is just my opinion perhaps the author should keep his genres separate in the future. For me definitely. Then again you can't please everyone as the differing reviews show.
