This was a fantastic book that I devoured in a matter of days... I was thrilled to read that the author plans to create two more books in this series...and I am eager to learn what happens to the characters in the novel...
After WW1, the author presented a vivid image of what life was like... The difficulties were the females who worked long hours for little pay... The battle to pay rent and feed one's family...I learned a lot about this time period because I didn't know much about it before...
With the exception of one or two... the characters were all quite pleasant, and I enjoyed getting to know them as the tale continued...I was relieved to learn that there was a happy conclusion...but I was disappointed to have to put the book down...
I'm looking forward to the next installment in the series...
