When I first read the synopsis for this book I didn't think I would enjoy it that much, but I was wrong.
I don't read a lot of historical fiction and have never read a book set during this period in history, but I actually found it very interesting.
The fact that the main female character is a physician in a time where women would not normally be encouraged to learn such skills, makes the story more interesting.
I would definitely read the rest of this book.
