The English Civil War is a promising setting for a novel because it divided families, neighbours and communities. Having read previous historical novels by the author I know there will be plenty of convincing period detail. A female physician must have been unusual at that time so that aspect interests me. The enemies to lovers is an oft used trope so it will be interesting to see how the author can make that believable and a little different.
