I started this thinking it to be another war story of sorts. How wrong I was it was deeply moving very descriptive and full of emotion at every page. Jayne swift is a physician who treats the sick and wounded. She has her own beliefs and at first you can feel this raging through the pages. Her companion is a man she thinks she will despise because of his beliefs but as the story unfolds she realises a lot about sacrifice and love and of course a story full of adventure. I think if you read this book up be prepared to read a very descriptive book full of love and twists and turns. I loved this book when I first picked it up thought of it as a hero war book no it’s something much better and it’s got such a lovely story that unfolds way through the pages. Read it on a winters day curled up in front of the fire you will hardly be able to put this down. A very good read.
