I have read books by Minette Walters before and enjoyed them but I associate her more with contemporary crime fiction so i am curious to see what i historical adventure novel by here would be like
I am interested in most periods of history but the 17th century with its battles between Caveleirs and Roundheads is a particular favourite at mine
Its great to see that the protagonist is a strong female in a time where women were often secong class citizens . She seems like someone i could cheer for and symphathize with it will be interesting to see her character unfold throughout the novel
The unfolding love story amongst two people of differering faculties is a classic so i hope it is dealt with in an interesting and original way...whatever the outcome is
